You should know these AAPI-owned brands

At Youshd, we love celebrating AAPI Heritage month and cheering on a diverse group of brands and creators. And we know supporting AAPI-owned brands shouldn’t end when May is over, so we’re continuing to spotlight some of our favorite businesses. From beauty to edibles to fashion and beyond, here are 10 AAPI-owned brands we adore.

Fly By Jing
Jing founded Fly By Jing in 2018. She was “inspired by the amazing flavors of my hometown Chengdu and its famous fly restaurants— soulful hole-in-the-wall eateries so good they attract diners like flies.” These flavor-filled sauces are good on *everything.* Editor’s note: Start with the Sichuan Chili Crisp.

Pink Moon
Pink Moon is a skincare brand that blends ancient wisdom with modern essentials. They want to help you create daily rituals for a harmonious life. In their online store you can shop by face or body or by ritual. Design your regimen around Chinese medicine, astrology, aromatherapy or crystals and reiki.

IMMI
Instant ramen isn’t just for dorm rooms anymore. Immi makes delicious noods with less sodium and carbs and is plant-based. “At immi, we’re paying homage to our favorite foods, while reimagining them for our modern diets—with high-quality ingredients that taste just as good as we remember.”

Three Ships Beauty
This certified B corp is on a mission to be the most effective, natural beauty brand in the world. And if anyone can do it, it’s Three Ships. All of their products are vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, synthetic-free and have traceable ingredients. Plus, if you don’t know where to start, they have a one minute skin quiz to help you find your perfect products.

Sanzo
This Asian-inspired sparkling water is so, so refreshing. Seriously, we’re drinking one right now. Once you try and are hooked like us, try a subscription. This way you’ll save on your new favourite non-alcoholic bevy. Editor’s note: Start with the yuzu with ginger over ice.

Rooted Fare
We’re obsessed with these Chinese-American twists on traditional nut butters… and there are so many ways to use them for your entire family. Full disclosure: Youshd partners with Rooted Fare. Which is awesome… because you can earn when you shop and post about them.

Ai Toronto Seoul
Ai means daughter in Korean. There’s a reason every It Girl in Toronto is carrying one of these bags… They’re the best. Sustainable and affordable luxury for all. Ai is both timeless and trending and their creations are PETA-certified vegan and made in small batches.

Bokksu
Inspired by the founder’s delicious trip to Japan, Bokksu (the ultimate snack box subscription) was born. Bokksu continues to grow, now with more than just tasty subscriptions, but also with a Hello Kitty partnership and now the Bokksu boutique.

Nguyen Coffee Supply
We like to think the Youshd blog is as awesome as any other publication, but for this incredible coffee brand, we’re going to quote the WSJ: “The underdog coffee bean that java snobs hate is finally getting some respect.” …And Nguyen, and all Vietnamese coffee, deserves all of the respect (and your immediate attention).

OMSOM
Feeling saucy? These proud, loud Asian noodles are for you. If you’re not sure where to start, we recommend starting with the sampler. This brand is not only so tasty, they’re also pretty funny: “OM SOM is a Vietnamese phrase meaning noisy, rambunctious, riotous, most often used by parents (hint: ours) to scold unruly, raucous children in the back of the car.”
